2026 IFMAR 1:8 OFF-ROAD WORLDS โ P9 ๐
The 2026 IFMAR 1:8 Off-Road Worlds is officially complete, and there are a lot of great takeaways from this one.
I came into this event with some personal goals, and Iโm proud to say I accomplished them.
Going back to Perth, Australia in 2018, I qualified 7th overall but came up short of making the World Championship final. That one has always stuck with me.
8 years later, I was able to beat my best qualifying effort at a 1:8 Worlds AND accomplish one of my biggest goals โ making my first 1:8 World Championship Final.
A lot of things have to go right to have a good result at a Worlds. You have to be mentally strong. You canโt leave points on the table, even when youโre having a bad run. You have to trust your pit crew, trust the people around you, and most importantly, have a short memory and keep moving forward.
This Worlds started off rough for me. Things werenโt going great, but we never stopped working. We kept making small improvements and finding ways to get better every time we hit the track.
My mechanic Brent and I worked our butts off all week. We kept digging, kept improving, and never gave up. Big thanks to Brent Thielke for pushing me!
A huge thank you to JConcepts, with Paul and Jason at the event giving us endless information and helping us make the right tire calls when it mattered.
To Marco and the entire Rossi team from REDS, thank you for making sure we had reliable engine performance all week long.
At an event like this, every little detail matters. All weekend, we worked to maximize every category possible โ car, tires, engine, pit stops, strategy, and execution. It truly takes a team.
Lastly, I want to thank my dad for doing what he does best โ supporting me, taking care of me, keeping things light, and giving us plenty of laughs in the pits. I wouldnโt want to experience these moments without you.
Cheers to my first 1:8 Worlds Final. ๐๐
But Iโm hungry for more.
P9 IN THE WORLD.
Letโs keep pushing.
LFG! ๐ฅ
