What a crazy finals day, ever changing track condition made things a little more tricky than expected. After struggling a bit in A-main Warmup with my tire choice I decided change my mind for A3 of E-buggy just before it was time. It turned out to be the perfect call as my package was amazing once again and I could put pressure on Davide and eventually got by him to grab the win in the EP class. My Xray XB8E with Cayote & Hitec electronics equipped with HotRace tires was flying all weekend🚀

The E-buggy mains were great fun and it was a close and clean race with Davide all the time! Great job to him and Marcus on the podium finish👏🏼

Going up for the nitro main I had to make the decision on tires and this time I got it wrong. I stayed with Clay like in EP but should have gone with Clay Hard. The beginning was just fine but I could feel my tires starting to get slick sooner than I thought. This made the run time drop by one minute as I had a lot more wheel spin. I just made it into the pit for the third time and ran out of gas right as dad was putting the fuel inside.

It dropped me back and it was a battle to keep the car in the line until the end. I did the best I could but with mega grip in the line and zero grip in the dust it wasn’t easy. In the end I ended up 6th.

Of course it wasn’t the final I wanted to have after the incredible speed we had all weekend but it was just a bad call on my side not to put the harder tires which I held in my hands before the main hehe. We live and we learn!!

Great job to Canas on his victory and to Davide and Elliott for the podium finishes.

All in all I’m very happy with my performance this weekend. We showed that even though I didn’t race 1/8 for a looong time we are still right there. It’s time to work for hard for the big races coming up this summer.
